In the Edo period, Osaka used to be called the "Kitchen of Japan", and the best from land and sea were brought to Osaka. Still today, Osaka is famous for its cuisine and it offers dishes from all around the world, not to mention its own original Osaka-style food such as takoyaki, okonomiyaki, kitsune udon, Osaka sushi, and shokado bento. |
