How to use public transportation
There are several train companies operating in Osaka including the subway.

The Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau operates 8 subway lines and 1 new tram line, providing the fastest and easiest way to get around Osaka. As Osaka is located in the middle of the Kansai Region, it has been a bustling hub for travel since ancient times. You can reach most of Japan's major cities within an hour by plane. Furthermore, a two-hour flight is enough to reach the nation's distant cities at the southern and northern ends of Japan including Naha and Sapporo, which are also important markets.
Osaka lies 550 kilometers west of Tokyo, and taking the bullet train will enable you to travel between the two cities in approximately 2 and a half hours.
